Leadership Development Program (LDP)
Our LDP Mentees 2020-2021
WHAT IS LDP?
- The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is year-long program in which pharmacy students (PP1-P1) can take part in to grow as leaders and professionals.
- These translational skills that are learned throughout the year will be pertinent not only as a student, but also when you enter the professional setting!
- Students who are interested must apply to be qualified for the program!
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Any PP1s, PP2s, or P1s who are interested in cultivating professionalism and gaining leadership skills and experience!
- No prior leadership experience is required!
WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE LDP PROGRAM?
- Attend a series of workshops on developing professionalism and leadership skills that are valuable in both the educational and professional settings.
- Network with professionals and other pharmacy students from different years.
- Get paired up with a current committee coordinator that will serve as a mentor throughout the school year.
- Have the opportunity to be creative and plan your own event in the spring semester!
- More information on our workshops will be revealed very soon!
WHY APPLY TO LDP?
- INVOLVEMENT: Take part in our organization! Each workshop is reflective of our committees and what we do as a student chapter.
- COMMUNITY: Form a PHARMily with our committee coordinators, e-board members, NCPA members, and fellow mentees! We will be having social events throughout the year.
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Workshops will target public speaking, resume/CV critique, and entrepreneurship. You will also have the opportunity to network with professionals from different fields of pharmacy!
- LEADERSHIP: Additional workshops will also incorporate elements such as budgeting, delegation, and soft skills. This will be important in the workforce!
